MALENY WEDFEST 2019

Timeless, elegant, romantic and luxurious is what we strived for in this deluxe sperry tent photo shoot. We took full advantage of all the different spaces in the sperry that we could as well as collaborating with Simply Style Co. to create the most deluxe tablescape and hanging installation featuring glass pendant lighting. Everything was so softly and timelessly captured by Jen Oliphant Photography. Our stunning model adorned in Marilyn Crystelle magic, soft tresses by Rolling Scissors and flawless and natural makeup by Louise Henzell.

We were able to create this stunning styled design whilst at the Maleny Wedding Festival or ‘Wedfest’ so that all the guests and couples could see everything in real life and talk to all the suppliers involved with bringing this dream to life. The Sunshine Coast Hinterland is the perfect scene for a sperry tent wedding with romantic florals and elegant styling.

The colour palette was subtle and soft with gold accents and soft neutral textures. This is an elegant and timeless palette that would work with so many different styles. The light toned timber features of the sperry tent were reflected in Simply Style Co’s linens and gold features and the most dreamy silk ribbons by the coterie. The softest dusty pinks and peaches with a subtle hint of burgundy complimented this soft and neutral styling and the classic and romantic gown by Marilyn Crystelle just seemed to float away in the soft afternoon light. Is there anything more lovely than a stunning bride, gorgeous gown, soft beautiful florals, trailing ribbons and afternoon glow? Absolute dream. This stunning colour tones paired amazingly with the stationary and signage from Peach Perfect- simple, timeless and elegant.

Inside the sperry tent we had a blank canvas and created an extravaganza of loveliness with a standout feature hanging installion with luxe inclusions such as lunaria, italian ruscus, premium rose booms and giant delphinium. Once simply style co.’s lighting was added it with complete and drew your eye down to the stunning table below. For the table we used a combination of vessels which added different heights and textures but also showcased the different styles of table centrepieces you can have for your wedding. We used our natural toned stone look bowls which creates and elevated design and also utilises foam free techniques. We did these in different sizes so you could mix it up on the tables or have a larger piece or several smaller designs. We also created a long and low design with soft trading foliages, phalenopsis orchids and feature roses, this is quite a popular option as guests/family can take home at the end of the night. All this florals loveliness worked seamlessly with the crystal, glass and neutral element from simply style co. The subtle textures and hints of gold were the perfect companion to the florals.

The floral backdrop or feature wall utilised the open space of the sperry tent and created a space for a ceremony or photo wall for guests. We like our designs to have a natural form and feel, as if they are growing and are part of the space and have an elegant but organic shape as in nature. We linked this design to the central post, by continuing the organic form, creating something that twirled around the pillar with clusters of florals entwined.

The bouquet designs were all of the same colour palette but each with its own personality and twists. The classic gown design was the perfect match for all of these designs. The bouquets all featured a dusty pink, peach and natural palette. A twist on a modern design of all roses and phalenopsis orchids by adding some soft foliages and textures. A more rounded design of textures and florals included dried ferns and ruscus. A bountiful, full and romantic design with more green features and trailing foliages.
